Spanish speaking Receptionist/ Office Manager

Non Profit agency in SF in need of a Spanish speaking Receptionist/ Office Manager for about 2 – 6 weeks, this is covering a leave of absence. Temp, M – F basic business hours for 37.5 hours/ week, starts immediately.

General Duties:
โ— Receive, date stamp, sort and distribute mail for staff and clients/families.
โ— Coordinate outgoing mail and ensure daily mail pick-up/drop off.
โ— Main contact to receive deliveries large and small. Alerting appropriate staff of delivery arrival. (able to lift up to 25 lbs).
โ— Participate in drop-in food distribution to clients twice weekly.
โ— Receive, coordinate staff, and transfer goods to adjacent site from weekly SF Food Bank Delivery.
โ— Receive, coordinate staff, and transfer goods to adjacent site from Diaper Bank Delivery.
โ— Responsible for ongoing inventory of office and janitorial supplies and weekly ordering across programs.
โ— Serve as liaison to Facilities Manager to get building maintenance problems addressed in a timely manner.
โ— Provide intake, information, and referrals to clients as needed.
โ— Regularly check general voicemail throughout each day and forward messages to appropriate staff/programs for quick response time.
โ— Maintain the drop in/waiting area to ensure a clean and safe environment.
โ— Support staff to maintain waiting areas to ensure that parents supervise their children appropriately, that areas are left clean, and all walkways are clear.
โ— Attend team meetings as needed.
โ— Provide general clerical support for team projects and other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
โ— Bilingual in English & Spanish
โ— Understanding of the issues affecting homeless families and children. Work or volunteer experience with homeless populations preferred.
โ— Ability to assess and de-escalate potentially volatile situations
โ— Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Suite of Programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.)
