Clinical Supervisor

This is a full-time, Mon.-Fri., onsite, generally 9-5, with periodic 24 hour on call coverage by phone.
The new hire for this position will receive a $5,000 bonus after a year of service!!
This position provides clinical leadership, oversight, and supervision to the Acute Intensive Services Programs: Residential, Hospital Diversion (HD), Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP).
Essential Functions:
- Provides clinical oversight to the Acute Services Programs (Residential, HD, PHP, and IOP).
- Directly supervises Clinicians and SFSU Clinical Trainees to ensure the proper delivery of clinical services by providing weekly individual and group supervision.
- Oversees delivery and quality of individual, family, and group therapy clinical services within the milieu, including case assignments.
- Participates in the Acute Intensive Services intake process as required (reviews referrals for clinical fit in programs, attends weekly intake meeting).
- Leads the utilization management process to ensure that clients within the Acute Services Programs meet medical necessity for their current level of care.
- Collaborates and maintains relationships with outside partners and agencies around clinical issues (e.g., authorizations, discharge recommendations, care coordination, etc.).
- Ensures effective communication between all members of a child’s care team, including attending CFT and other meetings as needed.
- Works closely with Quality Assurance (QA) to ensure excellent documentation standards.
- Oversees and approves clinical documentation within established timelines and ensures that documentation meets programmatic guidelines.
- Provides treatment as needed if supervisees are out or unavailable.
- Interviews and hires Acute Intensive Services clinical staff and addresses staffing issues as they arise.
- Works in collaboration with the Acute Intensive Services Programs Director around program development and program implementation by attending weekly Leadership meetings.
- Attend weekly staff meetings to collaborate with Milieu Managers to ensure consistent care of clients in the milieus.
Qualifications:
- LCSW/ MFT + 2 years post-licensure.
- Must have completed BBS Supervisory Training Course
- 2 years of clinical work experience in a therapeutic setting with children, youth and families that have been or are involved in issues relating to abuse
