Job Information

This position is temp covering a maternity leave, there is a chance that it could become temp to hire.  This assignment offers clinical supervision towards licensure.  Job is M – F 8AM – 4:30PM.  We are a non-profit community organization, providing mental health services to men and women who have come from backgrounds of mental/behavioral illnesses, incarceration, homelessness, or substance abuse.  Our primary goal is to transform the lives of individuals by providing bridges to cross life’s barricades and obstacles, while opening doors for possibilities.

The Therapist Associate will be responsible for providing weekly individual psychotherapy to a case load of 10 to 25 individuals with moderate to severe mental health diagnoses. In addition, the Therapist Associate will be responsible for completing timely assessments such as completing initial Bio Psychosocial Assessments, Treatment Plan Development, and weekly progress notes, and other pertinent documentation needed in order to complete a comprehensive assessment.

The therapist associate will be expected to collaboratively work closely with other residential staff involving case managers, resident counselors, and program administrators, as well as routine participation in any necessary treatment team meetings with outside community partners involved in individual client’s care.

In addition, the Therapist Associate will be a part of a Crisis Intervention Response Team and expected to be available to respond to their assigned client’s crisis need that may involve clients expressing suicidal ideation, incidents of self-harm, and any other concerning behaviors warranting a risk assessment/evaluation to determine necessary intervention to keep client safe.

QUALIFICATIONS:

o    One (1) year Mental Health experience preferred.

o     Registration with the Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) as an AMFT, ACSW, or APCC
