Temp needed May – Aug. M – F, business hours.

Residential Services Coordinator is to provide on-site coverage and support to Harvest Home’s residential program while a team member is on maternity leave. The Residential Services Coordinator will work closely with our team to coordinate a healthy residential living environment to support residents and operations of the home.

Essential Duties

Include but are not limited to:

Resident Support

· Work with residents to ensure their essential needs are met, including transport to essential appointments when necessary

· Support residents in meeting program goals and expectations, addressing behavior concerns with residents collaboratively, directly and in a timely manner.

· Engages in crisis prevention and crisis intervention to de-escalate incidents of potential harm, aggression, etc. and may also coordinate emergency responses as needed.

· Support and guide residents collectively in order to promote an environment / relationship of accountability based on trust and respect.

· Assists with the transition of new residents into the residential living environment through facilitating their move-in and orientation, initiating hospitality and community integration efforts.

· Establish and cultivate respectful and appropriate relationships with residents of diverse backgrounds.

· Support and guide residents individually in order to promote an accountability relationship based on trust and respect.

· Provides all necessary documentation of resident behavior and interventions attempted.

Program and Operations Support

· Provide on-site coverage of home during business hours—typically 9am-5pm

· Connect with class teachers, volunteers, and donors coming into the home for groups, classes, events, workshops, service opportunities, etc.

· Assist Case Manager in intake responsibilities including prospective resident interviews.

· Coordinate with Director of Programs and Director of Operations to address maintenance issues in the home as they arise including submitting maintenance requests in a timely manner, troubleshooting minor maintenance issues, liaising with maintenance workers on site.

· Model, uphold and adhere to organizational and staff values, processes, and standards.

· Proactively communicate information as it pertains to community-living and the home environment.

· Support COVID testing procedures on site

· Maintains a positive, strengths-based and culturally appropriate, trauma-informed, therapeutic environment that is in keeping with the mission and values of Harvest Home.

Required Qualifications

· Minimum of 2+ years’ experience in social service field (non-profits, government, missions, etc.)

· High EQ in order to foster respective and appropriate relationships with residents in order to serve our population well including an understanding of and sensitivity to concerning homelessness, women’s health, pregnancy, parenting, trauma, mental health, etc.

· Strong Communication (open, honest, humble) and Organization Skills. We value solution-oriented feedback and problem solving.

· Ability to work as a part of our Harvest Home team while also working independently.

· Smart Phone Needed

· Driver’s License and Personal Vehicle for occasional resident transportation

· Strong experience with Microsoft Office, Email (Google or Outlook), Chat Tool (ex: Slack), etc.

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience working with many of the following: high-risk populations, women, homelessness, pregnancy, infancy, victims of trauma, mental health, substance use, domestic violence, poverty, TAY, Foster care, DCFS, etc. in social welfare, social work, counseling, hospitality, and related fields

· Prior experience working in a shelter, group home, and/or residential treatment program.

· Crisis-intervention and/or de-escalation training, skills, and/or experience
