Job Information

Sobering Station and Detox Program will utilize the Seeking Safety treatment model focused on trauma-informed client treatment of clients presenting with addiction and mental health disorders. The Model organizes our treatment and client interventions. Seeking Safety is an inclusive model because it is a way of guiding leaders, staff, clients, and families to share the same language. Clinical staff members assist clients in their recovery from substance use and co-occurring disorders through counseling, education, role modeling, and empathetic trauma-informed support using the Seeking Safety framework.

Responsible for the overall quality of services provided through oversight of policy development, programming, quality improvement, and staff competencies.

Oversee day to day operations of the Sobering Station providing sobering, counseling, referral, and respite services to individuals arrested for alcohol and drug related offenses. These individuals are often referred by emergency departments or other partner agencies including law enforcement and the health system. Additionally, oversee day to day operations of the Detox program which provides services to individuals referred for non-medical detox services, generally from AOD and the court system under Drug Medical.

Ensure programs provide supportive, ethically appropriate, and culturally informed services congruent with agency philosophy to clients. Oversee day to day operations of the Integrated Medication Assisted Treatment (IMAT) program in collaboration with San Mateo County General Hospital.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • CADAC or other State of California approved certification.
  • Certified Clinical Supervisor training required, or with experience managing clinical and counseling staff.
  • Knowledge of substance abuse and co-occurring disorders (COD) with experience in screening, assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of co-occurring disorders.
  • Knowledge of clinical detox services.
