The Clinical Program Director provides clinical supervision to staff, manages the program contract, monitors the Medi-Cal documentation and productivity of staff, and contract, and
provides some direct client care. The person filling this role provides guidance and makes decisions regarding clients’ care. The Clinical Program Director is responsible for communication, coordination, project team oversight, implementation, monitoring, reporting and evaluating the programs for continuous quality improvement. The Clinical Program Director serves as the face of the program to the external community as well the liaison between the agency and county departments, community-based organizations, and other external constituents. This is both a strategic role requiring partnership and collaboration with a team of professionals as well as a tactical “roll up your sleeves” position that provides clients with counseling, therapeutic support, and assesses behavioral issues. The Clinical Program Director works independently to collect, analyze, and interpret and report program results. The Clinical Program Director works as part of the multi-disciplinary team, including a director, other program directors, a psychiatrist, a psychiatric nurse practitioner, a registered nurse, clinical case managers, non-clinical case managers, and an administrative manager.

• Master’s degree in social work, psychology, or counseling
• Currently licensed for a minimum of 2 years as an MFT, LCSW or Psychologist who meets Board of Behavioral Science (BBS)/ Board of Psychology (BOP) requirements for clinical supervision, e.g., required CE units for clinical supervision.
• A minimum of 3 years direct service experience with community-based therapy services
• At least 3 years prior experience in administration, coordination with supervision of mental health and/or case management/counseling services programs required
• Experience training staff on Medi-Cal documentation standards required
