Job Information

We are hiring a temporary or temp to hire, full time bilingual Family Child Care Specialist for a non profit in San Francisco. This is for at least 6 months, possibly longer. The Family Child Care Specialist (Specialist) will recruit Spanish speakers interested in obtaining a family child care license or expanding their existing license. Emphasis will be placed on recruitment of new and currently licensed family child care providers who care for infants and toddlers. The Specialist will support providers through training and site based technical assistance to build capacity and improve child care quality. The Specialist will recruit and conduct certification and recertification of families eligible for California Department of Education (CDE) and local subsidized child care funding in accordance with federal, state and local regulations.

REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor’s Degree in Child Development, Social Services or Business Administration preferred not required
• Minimum 2 years’ experience working with Family Child Care providers
• 12 Early Childhood Education units in infant and toddler care a plus
• Experience working in non- profit environment required
• Bilingual and biliterate in Spanish/English required
• Knowledge of family child care business development and requirements
• Experience providing training and professional development using adult learning principles
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to work effectively with diverse groups
